Getting Started




- Device Pod and Carrier.
- Device Strap Medium. To ensure the perfect fit, you may exchange the medium strap for a small or large strap, free of charge, at time of purchase or in-studio before your first class.
- Charging Cord.

- Remove your device from the box insert.
- Connect the charging cord to the USB-C port on the underside of the device to wake the unit from manufacturing sleep mode.
- Charge for use. See Device Charging below for more detailed information.
- Once your device is fully charged, remove the cord and power ON.

- Power On: Single press on the dome button over the Splat icon on the top of the unit.
- Power Off: Hold the dome button for 2 seconds.
- Auto Power Down: If no movement or heart rate detection for 5 minutes, it will automatically power down to save battery life.

Device Placement
- Wear snugly around the bicep with the pod facing away from your body.
- Ensure the optical sensor on the underside is in direct contact with the skin.
- Avoid placing over tattoos to maintain heart rate accuracy.
Device Charging
- Lift the rubber cover on the underside of the device.
- Plug the USB-C connector into the device's USB-C port.
- Connect the USB end to a computer port or charging block (not provided).
- Charging indicators:
- While charging: Light ring slowly pulses white.
- Fully charged: Light ring illuminates white for 2 seconds, then turns off.
- Charging time may vary depending on power source.


Device Care
- Clean the optical sensor after each use with a soft cloth.
- Clean with mild soap and cool water.
- Do not machine wash the pod.
- Strap may be machine washed, but do not machine dry.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners to prevent damage.
Device Features
LED Light Ring / Heart-Rate Zone Display

- Your device is equipped with a light ring that can show your heart-rate zone during a workout.
- Use the Orangetheory Mobile App to enable this feature and configure other device settings.
- If the Heart-Rate Zone Display feature is disabled, the light ring will pulse in white color while the device is powered on.
Connecting to the Orangetheory Mobile App

- Ensure the app is updated to version 5.0.0 or later.
- Fully charge your device and power it on.
- Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the Orangetheory mobile app.
- Tap OK if prompted to update Mobile App.
- Open the app’s Settings by tapping on the gear icon on the top-right corner of the screen, then tap Add Device.
- Select your device when it appears to complete the connection.
- Assign the device to your Orangetheory member profile for use during in-studio workouts.
- Enable/disable heart-rate zone display on the device’s light ring, and personalize the device with your heart-rate zones.

Configuring Your Performance Monitor with the Orangetheory Mobile App
- Make sure your device is powered on and located near your phone.
- Open the Orangetheory Mobile App.
- Open the app’s Settings by tapping on the gear icon on the top-right corner of the screen, then tap on your device. If you do not see your device, follow the instructions in Connecting to the Orangetheory Mobile App.
- Use Device for In-Studio Workouts: enable this feature to assign the device to your Orangetheory member profile and make it your active device. This will allow your device to be automatically recognized in Orangetheory studios as soon as you walk in.
- Enable Heart Rate Zone Display: enable this feature to have the device’s light ring display your current heart-rate zone color in real time. If the heart-rate zone information currently on the device does not match your member profile, the device will automatically be updated with your personalized zones. If you disable this feature, the device’s light ring will pulse in white color while the device is powered on.

Charging and device status

- Charging: Pulses white while charging; illuminates white for 2 seconds when full.
- Low Battery: Blinks red 3 times at <15% battery; repeats before auto power-off.
- Firmware Updates: Flashes yellow during update; flashes green when complete.
Out-of-Studio Workouts

- From the Base Home Page, select At Home from the top navigation.
- Tap See All > in the Start Workout panel.
- Select a workout type.
- Ensure your device is connected to the app before starting.
- If not found, either reconnect (recommended) or continue without the device.
- After your workout:
- Tap Pause
- Tap Finish
- Save or discard the workout.
